Meet our Realtors

Carolyn was born in Vancouver and grew up on the North Shore. Seeking adventure, her family left Vancouver behind and travelled to exciting, far flung places around the world. After 5 years of globe trotting, the family, with plenty of life’s experience under their belts realized, as had Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz, that “There's no place like home” and they returned to Vancouver.

Coming from a strong family (sales) background, Carolyn became a realtor in 1980 as she liked the idea of working with people in an unstructured environment. What started as a business developed into an enjoyment of helping people by ensuring that they made the best decision possible for their circumstance. She has always put her clients needs ahead of the commission. In the past 40 plus years, she has experienced every conceivable market, earning the respect of her colleagues whilst building meaningful friendships and strong working relationships with her clients.

Though by no means a ‘real estate rock star,' Carolyn has  always recognized the importance of her family relationships and has found a nice balance of work and play. 

In her free time she enjoys social time with family and friends and walks with her husband Geoff and their sweet Lab, Rosie.

Geoff became a licensed Realtor in May 1981 at which time he joined Sussex Realty in North Vancouver. Later that year, Geoff had the opportunity to buy into the company and he eventually became one of its major shareholders. 

In his early life, however, he pursued a very different path. Geoff made his way from England to Canada, the land of opportunity, at the young age of 19. He had an interest in Engineering having worked for a Government Engineering Department out of London before emigrating. This interest enabled him to find employment with an Engineering firm in North Vancouver. An adventurer at heart, Geoff set off to the Yukon where he subsequently worked as a river engineering surveyor on Yukons vast river network. He spent a number of years there and to this day, still finds it one of his favourite places to visit.  

Once becoming a Realtor, Geoff focused on all areas of residential real estate though he took a special interest in land assembly.  He had an affinity for it and was involved in the marketing of many multi family developments around the Lower Mainland.

Geoff remained active as a Director of Sussex until he, and his fellow shareholders, sold the business to Royal Lepage in 2014. 

In 2016, Geoff decided to ‘retire' his licence and focus on his hobbies though he has remained active, as an unlicensed assistant, to Carolyn & Mike helping them with their day to day real estate needs. In his free time he enjoys building things and, until recently, working in the garden. He hates gardening now!  Along with Carolyn, he enjoys getting out in the fresh air with their lovely dog, Rosie. Geoff always enjoys hearing from past clients, many who are now otherwise known as his friends.
